Cyber violence

Cyber violence has the same origin as the violence previously addressed, but these are transferred to the digital space and include other equally destructive characteristics. We can say that they adapt to the new dynamics of relationships and socialization, counting on a supposed impunity given by the feeling of anonymity, with extra doses of hatred and violence. Furthermore, the virtual environment has its own characteristics that aggravate the consequences of violence: immediacy, greater exposure of the victim, viralization and permanence of the content and, finally, the digital footprint.

Sextortion

It is a form of sexual exploitation, through blackmailing a person, using their own audiovisual content of an erotic nature. The victim is threatened with the dissemination of their intimate images if they do not comply with the demands of the blackmailer. These can be having sexual relations, delivering more erotic content, money and other things. It constitutes a crime against sexual freedom.

Sexreading

It is the dissemination of images with erotic content without the consent of the person who appears in them. The psychological consequences can be devastating; in some cases, victims even committed suicide due to the humiliation to which they were subjected. It constitutes a crime against privacy and sexual freedom.

Grooming

It is a crime in which an adult comes into contact with a minor to gain their trust, often posing as another minor, in order to obtain erotic digital content. It is linked to pedophilia and child pornography. It constitutes a crime against sexual freedom.

Non-consensual pornography

It consists of recording a person having sexual relations without their knowledge and, therefore, without their consent. It constitutes a crime against sexual freedom.

Doxxing

It is a violent action, often perpetrated through social networks (although not only), that consists of criticizing and making a person self-conscious about their body.

Body-Shaming

Es una acción violenta, a menudo perpetrada a través de redes sociales (aunque no solo), que consiste en criticar y acomplejar a una persona por su cuerpo.

Slut-Shaming

It is a violent action, often carried out through social networks (although not only), that consists of criticizing and humiliating a woman for freely enjoying her sexuality.
