Introduction

Unit 1, “I, my, me, with Me”, is focused on establishing basic knowledge about  sexual and reproductive rights, through 3 chapters:

In the first chapter, we will start with a complete definition of sexuality, understood as a central dimension of the human being, crossed by biological, psychological, social and spiritual factors, and based on sexual rights as a fundamental pillar.

In the second chapter, the focus will be on self-knowledge of our own body and the changes it can experience, as a key aspect to achieving good self-esteem. Aspects that can interfere or hinder self-esteem, such as beautystandards, will also be addressed.

The third chapter will focus on sexual and gender diversity, including issues such as the gender socialization process, roles and stereotypes, co-responsibility and alternative masculinities and femininities, as well as the discrimination to which people in the group are subject. LGTBIQA+ in the world.

This unit delves into issues of individual sexuality, not so focused on eroticism or shared sexuality, but equally relevant.
